For whom is a TimeRide visit suitable?
In short, for everyone aged 6 and over*. Children, adults, families, tourists, schoolchildren and residents. Whether for history buffs, technology enthusiasts or school trips.
With our unique offer we appeal to a wide audience and most of them visit us at our other locations afterwards.
*Recommended for ages 6 and up. Participation in a virtual reality tour is not recommended for children under the age of 6. The reasons for this are that VR goggles are usually too big and too heavy for small children’s heads. They can slip, be uncomfortable or even lead to unhealthy strain on the neck and head. Visual perception is still developing. . At this age, the ability to process spatial depth and movements correctly is not yet fully developed. VR can overtax these perceptual processes.
Where can I buy tickets for TimeRide?
To secure your place on your preferred date, you can purchase your tickets conveniently online via our webshop. Tickets can also be purchased at the box office on the day of your visit (please allow for long waiting times if necessary) or for a later date. Tickets will not be reserved.

Do I have to print my ticket?
No, we value a paperless and environmentally friendly purchasing process. Of course you can also print out your tickets. On site, however, it is sufficient to show the ticket on your cell phone.
Can I have my tickets sent to me by mail?

Can I rebook or cancel my tickets?
No. As we are an organizer, it is no longer possible to change or cancel tickets after a binding booking has been made. For your understanding, please read our terms and conditions.
Why is my preferred date not offered in the webshop?
Reasons for this:
- There is generally no public appointment for the experience on the desired date
- The experience for the desired date is already fully booked.
- The date is so far in the future that it is not yet available for advance booking. We recommend checking our webshop from time to time so as not to miss the activation of the new dates.
We offer special tours at special times, please send us the completed request form and we will be happy to get back to you with an offer.
For which groups of people are there discounted tickets?
The discount is available to children and young people aged 6-12. Families of 2 or more people with at least one child up to the age of 12.
In which languages are the products offered?
We do not offer bilingual tours. Our tours are usually offered in German or English. The respective dates in the respective language are marked with the German or British flag. Some tours are only offered as exclusive tours in English and charge a group fee. Send us the completed inquiry form (click on the link) and we will send you a quote.
I have never worn VR glasses. Is this hard to handle or can something break?
Many of our guests have never worn VR glasses before. Don’t worry! We explain on site how to put on the glasses. Nothing can break.
Will the VR goggles make me nauseous?
We can reassure you: In the many years that we have been time traveling with TIMERIDE, this has rarely been the case and you can of course take off your glasses at any time. Our VR ride in the carriages is relatively leisurely, so you can relax and take in the surroundings. In addition, vibration simulates real locomotion.
I wear glasses. Is that a problem?
You can usually pull the VR glasses comfortably over your glasses (conventional models with not too large lenses and narrow frames, models with oversized lenses and thick frames are not possible). Varifocals are not suitable, only single vision glasses. If your glasses are too big, we recommend wearing contact lenses.
I have hearing or vision impairments. Does TimeRide make sense for me?
Conventional hearing aids can be worn under the headphones, you just need to be careful when putting on the VR glasses. Your time travel guide will be happy to help you put on the VR glasses.
The concept of TIMERIDEis strongly based on visual and auditory impressions.
What do I need to consider to participate in the VR experience?
Don’t drink and Timeride!
We understand that celebrations together can sometimes invite you to have a drink or two – who can resist that? But a clear head is important for our time travel. For safety reasons, guests under the influence of alcohol are unfortunately unable to attend. In such cases, we reserve the right to refuse admission and a refund will not be possible. Thank you for your understanding – we look forward to going on a journey through time with you sober and full of anticipation.
We are a larger group. Can we all go on a journey through time together?

The capacity of our tours depends on the number of seats and VR glasses available. In the TIMERIDE SENSEUM (Frankfurt 1891) there are 10 places available per tour, for the TIMERIDE GO! tours 15 places.

I would like to visit TimeRide with a large group / school class and can't manage the online booking. What can I do?
In the webshop you will find instructions to help you book groups. If your group exceeds the number of seats available, you can simply add more time slots and tickets to your shopping cart.
For school classes (15 pupils or more), please make a request using the group form.
Yes, they do exist. Please send us the completed school group inquiry form and we will be happy to make you an offer. In our inquiry form you can already find out a lot of information about your school group inquiry and our conditions.
What is the minimum age of my child?
We recommend participation from the age of 6.
Children up to the age of 12 can participate if accompanied by an adult, provided they can move through the experience independently. Please note that the VR goggles may not fit very young children perfectly due to their size and weight and that they may not yet be able to fully process what they are seeing. Tickets cannot be refunded in this case.
For safety reasons, it is not possible to wear the VR glasses with a child in your arms or on your lap. Likewise, baby carriages cannot be parked in the adventure area.
Can I bring my dog/pet with me?
Animals of any breed and size are not permitted on a tour, as care cannot be guaranteed during the VR experience.
I have impaired mobility. Can I also use TimeRide products?
There are some stairs in the SENSEUM Frankfurt. Unfortunately, we cannot allow wheelchair users access to the first two stations and the historic carriages. Alternatively, wheelchair users can take part in the TIMERIDE GO! City Tour.
Where can I buy tickets for TimeRide GO!
TIMERIDEtickets can be purchased online or on-site at the TIMERIDE SENSEUM.
What is the difference to the stationary TimeRide?
The stationary TIMERIDEtakes place exclusively in our TIMERIDE SENSEUM. You will be given a guided tour of various lovingly designed rooms. Your highlight: the virtual reality time travel.
What happens in bad weather?
As we all know, there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes! All kidding aside, we try to run TIMERIDE GO! even in rainy weather. If our tours cannot take place on the day of the event, we will inform you by phone in time. Therefore, please be sure to include a phone number with your booking. In addition, you should be equipped weatherproof for every tour, because sometimes a rain shower comes as a surprise. This includes sturdy shoes, a jacket and umbrella.
From what age is a TimeRide GO! VR management?
We make a general recommendation for ages 6 and up. Children up to the age of 12 can participate if accompanied by an adult
For an optimal experience, we recommend our GO! The VR sequences and historical backgrounds require a certain level of understanding and a certain maturity and ability to concentrate.
Can I bring my dog/pet with me?

How long does the TimeRide GO! Tour?
Our TIMERIDE GO! Tours last about 45 minutes.
I have impaired mobility. Can I still join the city tour?
The TIMERIDE GO! tour is at ground level. Therefore, participation with wheelchair is also possible. If you have a question, feel free to contact us!
How do I redeem my voucher?
Select your ticket for your desired date in the ticket store and add it to the shopping cart. In the “Check shopping cart” area, enter the code on your voucher. Several vouchers can be redeemed in succession. To do this, enter the first code, click on the outer field and then on the next code. This process is repeated until all vouchers have been redeemed. The amount will be credited to your account automatically. Remaining credit on vouchers is retained and can be used for further ticket bookings or merchandise items on site. A payout is not possible.
Where can I buy a voucher?
You can buy vouchers online. Go to the appropriate experience and either select a predefined voucher value or enter a free voucher value.
Can I redeem my voucher at any TimeRide?
No, you can only redeem your voucher for the TIMERIDEwhere it was issued.
How long is my voucher valid for?
Our vouchers are always valid for 3 years until the end of the year.
Example: A voucher from 01.05.2022 is valid until 31.12.2025.
Can I have a voucher sent to me by post?
No, we value a paperless and environmentally friendly purchasing process. You are welcome to print your voucher. On site, however, it is sufficient to show the voucher on your cell phone.
Can a voucher be extended?
No. Vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase, after this period vouchers are no longer accepted and will not be extended.
Are TimeRide vouchers value vouchers?
Yes, all TIMERIDEvouchers are location-based vouchers. This means that your credit can be used for any TIMERIDE product (TIMERIDEand TIMERIDE GO!). Vouchers should therefore not be confused with tickets booked for a specific date on a specific TIMERIDE experience.
How do I redeem my promo or discount code?
Most promo or discount codes can be redeemed online via our webshop. With some exceptions, these can only be used on site at the box office when purchasing tickets directly. Information on the procedure and validity period for redeeming promo or discount codes is always provided by the provider from whom they were provided or purchased.
You can then enter the code in the “Check shopping cart” area.

- Pay attention to upper and lower case letters / numbers / characters
- Validity date (from when to when can the booking be made and from when to when is the visit date limited?)
Can I buy vouchers with my promo or discount code?
No. Promo and discount codes are always intended exclusively for the purchase of tickets.
Can I enter a promo or discount code and a voucher in one purchase process?
Yes. First enter the promo/discount code (if you can redeem it online) and click in the outer field, then enter the voucher code in the same “Code” field. If there is a remaining amount, this must be paid via Paypal, Visa/Master Card or SEPA direct debit.
How do I get a promo or discount code?
TIMERIDEoffers special promotions or discounts from time to time. Keep your eyes and ears open and follow us on social media to never miss a promotion. Promo codes are also frequently given to our business partners:inside. Ask at your work or in your club if there is already a cooperation with us. If not, you are of course welcome to recommend us.
