Many of our guests have never worn VR glasses before. Don’t worry! We explain well on the spot how you put on the glasses.
Grasp the VR set like binoculars and move it vertically up and down without moving your head until you find the sharpest point for you and attach the goggles to the back of your head via the wheel. If you still have problems, please contact our time travel guides on site.
We can reassure you: In the many years that TIMERIDE has been around, no one has gotten seriously sick. Our VR ride is relatively leisurely so you can relax and take in your surroundings. In addition, the airflow and vibration simulate real locomotion. However, if something should happen, please always raise your hand and make yourself noticed. Our time travel companions will be happy to support you.
You can usually pull the VR glasses comfortably over your glasses (conventional models with not too large lenses and narrow frames, models with oversized lenses and thick frames are not possible). Varifocals are not suitable, only single vision glasses. If your glasses are too big, we recommend wearing contact lenses.
It is generally possible to take part in TIMERIDECologne and Dresden in the Senseum with a wheelchair or walker. Participation in our experiences – with a wheelchair – is unfortunately not possible in Frankfurt and Andechs. Unfortunately, it is not possible to take part in our GO! tours in a wheelchair or walker at any of our locations, as there are steps and uneven paths.
The concept of TIMERIDE relies heavily on visual and auditory impressions. With appropriate impairments, the overall experience of your time travel will likely be diminished.
Don’t drink and Timeride!
We understand that celebrations together can sometimes invite you to have a drink or two – who can resist that? But a clear head is important for our time travel. For safety reasons, guests under the influence of alcohol are unfortunately unable to attend. In such cases, we reserve the right to refuse admission and a refund will not be possible. Thank you for your understanding – we look forward to going on a journey through time with you sober and full of anticipation.

A fascinating comparison of the past and present awaits you!
As we all know, there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes! All kidding aside, we try to run TIMERIDE GO! even in rainy weather. If our tours cannot take place on the day of the event, we will inform you by phone in time. Therefore, please be sure to include a phone number with your booking. In addition, you should be equipped weatherproof for every tour, because sometimes a rain shower comes as a surprise. This includes sturdy shoes, a jacket and umbrella.
Start: Your tour usually starts directly at the TIMERIDE SENSEUM.
The exception to this is the TimeRide GO! cathedral VR tour – here your tour guide will meet you at the replica of the cross flower opposite the Cologne Tourism Center.
The end points of the tours vary from tour to tour.
